ROSWELL
Welcome to Roswell
On the northern bank of Chattahoochee River and 22 miles from downtown Atlanta lies the city of Roswell. This city was founded in 1839 by Roswell King, who had moved to the area in 1836. Roswell King set up the Roswell Manufacturing Company and a mill to harness the power of the local river to manufacture textiles. It has grown from a rich textile source to a bustling but quaint, historic district. Roswell has been ranked one of the safest cities to live in United States and chosen by Atlanta Magazine as one of the best placed to live in the metro Atlanta area.
